Explore frequently asked questions
How long after a BBL can you sit?
In most cases, you'll need to avoid sitting normally for two to four weeks after the procedure. Donut pillows will help you avoid putting pressure on your buttocks. Dr. Troell will let you know exactly when it is safe to start sitting normally again.
Is a BBL permanent?
The results of a BBL can last for up to a decade. However, it's possible for the size and shape of your buttocks to change over time if you gain or lose a significant amount of weight. This is because the procedure is done with your own fat cells, rather than an implant.
Will my clothing size change after a BBL?
Many people need to wear a different pant size after a BBL. Some patients need to go up a size due to the increase in their buttocks, while others go down a size due to fat loss in their abdomen or thighs.
How long will I need to wear a compression garment?
You'll need to wear your compression garment for 24 hours a day during the first few weeks after surgery. The garment should only be removed to shower. After this point, Dr. Troell will instruct you on how long to wear the garment each day. In most cases, you'll be able to stop wearing a compression garment after six weeks.
